Overview

Several substance use measures are available to provide an estimate of possible conditions from emergency department visits.

To help monitor the opioid epidemic and related concerns, suspected emergency department visits related to substance use disorder can be viewed in this dashboard.

This dashboard includes measures and insights from three data systems that monitor non-fatal substance use in Delaware.

  • The Emergency Department tab provides trends in suspected substances and substance-related emergency visits.
  • The data available in the Inpatient tab provides a description of diagnosed substance use disorders.
  • In the EMS tab, the data provides an overview of opioid overdose encounters and naloxone administrations.
