Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control

    The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control of the state of Delaware is the primary body concerned with the governance of public land, natural resources, and environmental regulations for the state.

    Delaware Division of Forensic Science

      The Delaware Division of Forensic Science (DFS) is a part of the Delaware Department of Safety and Homeland Security (DSHS). DFS is a National Association of Medical Examiners accredited organization, responsible for forensic pathology and toxicological laboratory testing in Delaware. The toxicology lab is accredited by the American Board of Forensic Toxicology (ABFT) and Ansi National Accrediting Body (ANAB).

      Delaware Electronic Reporting and Surveillance System (DERSS)

        DERSS is a disease/condition reporting and surveillance system that receives electronic lab results nightly from laboratory facilities and healthcare providers accross the state. Case investigations are initiated through it, and Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) data are reported to CDC for publication.

        DelVAX Immunization Registry

          DelVAX is Delaware’s state immunization registry and serves as a database that contains the immunization records of Delaware residents. It was implemented in 1983, and now contains the records of close to a half million individuals. DelVAX makes these records available to healthcare providers in a timely and accessible manner through one convenient database
          Rationale
          Vaccination records help track the percentage of individuals who have received COVID-19 vaccinations, and their demographic and geographic distribution. These data support efforts to ensure that vaccine distribution is sufficient and equitable for all Delaware residents.
